Re-elect Orange County Sheriff Paul Arteta
Sheriff Paul Arteta, elected in 2023, serves in Orange County, NY, bringing over three decades of law enforcement experience that began in 1992 as a Corrections Officer. He advanced to Deputy Sheriff of the Criminal Division by December 1994, having worked in every division of the Sheriff's Office. Sheriff Arteta is a founding member of the Orange County Deputy Sheriff PBA and the Orange County Drug Task Force, and he served a five-year assignment with the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, earning the "True American Hero Award."
Since taking office, he has achieved re-accreditation for the Corrections and Patrol Divisions and the office's first-ever Civil Accreditation while enhancing safety in the correctional facility and implementing a "Fly-Car" program to improve emergency medical response times. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (248th session).
